UL Environment’s GREENGUARD Certification program helps manufacturers create – and buyers identify and trust – interior products and materials that have low chemical emissions, improving the quality of the air in which the products are used. All certified products must meet stringent emissions standards, based on established chemical-exposure criteria.
Deutsches Institut für Bautechnik. A German authority similar to “Boverket”, sets limitations on emissions from construction products and building elements, to ensure that they’re at a safe level for people moving in. German flooring contractors are obliged to use products that are DIBt-approved.
This is an industry organization that measures emissions from flooring installation products, adhesives and building materials. Products classified as “very low emission”, and carrying the GEV label EMICODE® EC1PLUS, offer the best possible assurance against indoor air pollution for a high level of health protection, and environmental compatibility.
